Welfare Benefit ObjectiveTo develop, implement, monitor, and
administer all applicable direct and indirect company welfare and
fringe benefits while ensuring that they meet company objectives
and comply with appropriate federal and state regulations. To
recommend policies and procedures to carry out the benefit
programs. To oversee benefit information and resources and
recommend changes for the maintenance of the companies' benefits
objectives. To provide strategic long-range planning for the
benefit programs.ResponsibilitiesAssociate Manager, Health and
Welfare Benefit ResponsibilitiesServe as Plan Administrator for the
employee welfare and cafeteria plans and fringe benefit programs
including, but not limited to, medical, health waiver, dental,
vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and long-term
disability.Manage the administration of the claims, payment
processing, and billing research regarding the self-insured medical
plan. Review and maintain all related reporting as needed.Maintain
comprehensive knowledge of industry trends and evaluate the effects
of changes in federal and state regulations and their impact on
company benefit programs.Assess company programs on an ongoing
basis for marketplace positioning and potential exposures; make
recommendations to management accordingly.Research and recommend
welfare benefit plan changes, additions, or new options, while
determining the needs of employees, comparing new and proposed
plans, and assessing the financial, legal, and tax effects of these
proposals. Communicate these plan changes to management, financial
staff, insurance experts, and benefit personnel in terms of human
costs, monetary costs, and consequences of acting upon the proposed
changes.Assist in the modifications and maintenance of the Plan
Documents, Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary Material
Modification, Annual Notices, and Summary Annual Reports for the
welfare and cafeteria plans as applicable.QualificationsAssociate
Manager, Health and Welfare Benefit Qualifications Required: --
Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or
related degree -- Two to five years of experience in benefit
analysis or administration -- Previous experience with automated
payroll systems and eligibility reporting systems Note: Farm Bureau
offers a full benefit package including medical, dental, vision,
