Job Description We are seeking dedicated Tool and Die Makers to
join our team for either 1st or 2nd shift. As part of a union
facility, you will play a crucial role in sharpening dies,
servicing blades, and executing die set changeovers for various
products. You will interface with both production and engineering
teams during product start-ups and new product launches. Building
tooling from scratch using blueprints and adapting dies to fit our
presses will be a key part of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities Sharpen dies and service blades. Change over die
sets from product to product. Interface with production and
engineering on product start-ups and new product launches. Build
tooling from scratch using blueprints and adapt dies to fit
presses. Perform daily die changeovers using an overhead crane.
Utilize micrometers, surface grinders, and manual mills. Operate
manual lathes and mills. Essential Skills Manual machining
experience with lathes and mills. Proficiency in reading and
understanding blueprints. Experience with surface grinding.
Previous tool and die experience. Additional Skills &
Qualifications Possession of a Tool and Die Journeyman Card is
advantageous. Welding experience is a plus. Why Work Here? Our

offers a Relocation Package . Package Details: · Total allowance is
up to $5,000. · Payment is made when receipts are collected by
Human Resources. Eligible Expenses: The allowance may be used at
the employee’s discretion; however, receipts and approval are
required for payment. · Household goods moving costs (truck rental
or professional movers) · Travel expenses to Bluffton, IN (fuel,
airfare, meals) · Temporary lodging during the transition period ·
Lease termination fees or utility connection costs · Miscellaneous
relocation-related expenses Conditions and Repayment · Employee
must relocate within an agreed-upon timeframe following the hire
date · The employee will be required to sign a repayment agreement
of moving expenses should the employee either voluntarily or
involuntarily leave within a (12) month period. · The company
reserves the right to cancel this policy at any time, this
cancellation will not affect thosealready in place. Work
Environment The work environment is primarily focused on stamping
operations and metalworking, which can be noisy when machines are
operating. Despite being a metalworking plant, it is relatively
clean. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a team-oriented approach.
The facility is not temperature-controlled, so it may be hot during
the summer. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toed boots,
reflecting the laid-back culture. While it is a UAW Union facility,
joining the union is not mandatory for everyone. Job Type &
Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand
Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is
$27.68 - $39.28/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits
and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
