Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s degree in Physical
Education, Kinesiology, or a related field, Adapted Physical
Education (APE) certification, and 1 years Adaptive PE Teacher
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An immediate opening is
available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to provide
specialized PE instruction for elementary school students. This
full-time contract position begins ASAP and continues through June
5, 2026, serving the Ypsilanti area. Key Responsibilities: -
Develop and implement adaptive physical education programs tailored
to meet the diverse needs of elementary students. - Collaborate
with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate PE
objectives with individual education plans. - Monitor student
progress and adjust activities to ensure inclusivity and skill
development. - Maintain accurate records and comply with district
requirements for adaptive physical education services.
Qualifications: - Active Michigan teaching certificate,
specifically for physical education. - Bachelors degree coupled
with the required certification for adaptive physical education. -
Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school
setting. - Strong communication and organizational skills.
Location: Ypsilanti, MI Schedule: Full time, full semester contract
