Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Engineer - Automotive Industry
Location: Webberville, MI - fulltime onsite
Salary: $75k - $85k Base salary dependent on experience

We are a Machining Manufacturer of engine and drive train components for the automotive Industry. We have a diverse portfolio of Customers in the USA and Europe. We are looking for a qualified Environmental Health and Safety Engineer preferably from the manufacturing/industrial automotive industry comfortable in handling environmental issues, health, safety and ergonomic issues. Experience with ISO14001 is a plus!
What You Will Be Doing
Main Responsibilities

• In conjunction with HR and Director of Quality, implement and maintain Company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental health and safety regulation.
• Makes recommendations for the design and development of safe/ergonomic work areas and procedures
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining and updating environmental procedure manuals
• Responsible for the Hazard Communication, GHS Program, maintaining SDSs and updating/maintaining the Program
• Develop and maintain a training Program for Environmental, Health and Safety that complies with regulations
• Serves as the main contact with all local, federal and state regulatory agencies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical schematic drawings.
• Investigate industrial incents, injuries, or occupational illness to determine causes and preventive measures
• Report or review findings from incident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing
  What You Need for this Position
  Minimum Requirements
  
  • Bachelors Degree from accredited university
  • Proven certification for DEQ and OSHA
  • Proven certification for: Overhead Cranes, Rigging Equipment, Fall Protection, Equipment and Automatic Fire Suppression System
  • Ongoing certification programs regarding regulation changes for DEQ and OSHA
  • Expert user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Skills:
