Injection Molding Process Engineer By joining JAC Products as the Injection Molding Process Engineer, you can experience our unique culture first hand. In this position, you will use your professional experience to support the overall strategic initiatives of the manufacturing site and the effective execution of deliverables including ownership for the Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Capital Asset Request (CAR) Approval, Equipment Plan, and Installation, Equipment Qualification, Tooling and Equipment Tryout, Run at Rate, Operator Work Instructions. This position will be a hybrid role which includes the following function as a process engineer, manufacturing engineer and quality engineer and will be responsible to establish standards for injection mold processing throughout JAC Products global operations. This includes the development of injection mold piece cost estimates, participate in tooling design, build, tryout and transition to production for all injection mold requirements. Assist with troubleshooting and cost reduction projects, along with quality standards. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
• Comply with all QMS / EMS / ISO procedures and work instructions as it pertains to the position description. Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or the equivalent discipline preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in injection molded tooling in the automotive environment is preferred
  • Help with the assessment of the performance of tooling suppliers
  • Work with corporate injection mold process engineering manager on evaluation of low cost alternatives to reduce tooling cost
  • Work on standard work for Mold change. Drive mold change time down per industry standards and best practices
  • Work with tooling maintenance team to validate proper PM practices of tooling Skills/Competencies:
    • Strong eye for detail and maintaining exacting standards
    • Knowledgeable of CAD systems / software for product and tool designs
    • Knowledgeable of injection molding processing parameters, equipment and tooling
    • Knowledge of OEM quality standards, systems and processes
    • Experience leading the PPAP process to successful conclusion
    • Experienced with tool designs including runner-less (Sequential Valve Gate Hot Manifolds), two shot and insert molding
