customers to redefine what's possible. Summary: The sustaining
engineer maintains and improves released products by
troubleshooting issues, providing root cause analysis, reducing
costs, improving efficiency, managing engineering change notices ,
and handling component obsolescence with a focus on long-term
product health, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The
successful candidate will manage design changes, process
optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing
and other support teams. They will supply technical review and
direction for existing designs and suggest potential design changes
to improve customer outcomes for internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Technical liaison between Product Engineering and Manufacturing,
Quality and Purchasing departments for various rotating pumps
(Vane, Gear and Centrifugal) and reciprocating compressors trouble
shooting technical issues, process control improvements, supply
issues and support of new purchasing initiatives (regional and
global). Process and approve manufactured and purchased parts
deviation forms. Design changes: Implement engineering change
notices for fixes, improvements, or cost reductions managing Bills
of Materials (BOMs). Guide regional and global engineering team
members to complete engineering change work. Create and manage
Bills of Material (BOMs) and component part data in the Oracle ERP
system. Handle component obsolescence with a focus on long-term
product health, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Guide and
mentor designers (USA and global sites) in best practices and
project requirements for product improvements. Manage the
SolidWorks PDM database for updates in accessibility state of CAD
files for the CAD designers. Support CAD designers of engineered
special products orders (ESORs) by providing technical assistance
and performing final evaluation of bills of materials and drawings.
Conduct some minor CAD design work on SolidWorks CAD, for
Engineering Changes (ECNs) and engineered special products orders
(ESORs). Perform project management activities for product
improvement and special projects. Aid in maintaining the design
standards database, compliance documents, and product literature
release database. Issue technical instructions, product literature
and engineering specifications as required. Perform other duties as
assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports in this position.

of Thermal Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Material Selection is

knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others. Regulatory and
Compliance - Working knowledge of Harmonized Tarif Codes (HTS),
Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and International
Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A knowledge of EU and EAC
regulatory requirements (ATEX, Machinery Directive, PED, etc.) is
desired. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an

Bachelor's degree (BS Mechanical Engineering) from an ABET
accredited four-year college or university with a minimum of two
(2) years’ engineering design experience. Will consider recent
graduates from an ABET accredited school. SolidWorks or other 3-D
CAD platform experience is required. SolidWorks PDM file management
desired. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle. Microsoft
Office Suite literacy is mandatory particularly in Word and Excel.
Capability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence. Effectively speak before
groups of customers or employees of the organization. Proven to
solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
are desired but not required. A desire to achieve certification,
education and development within scope of responsibility. Other
Qualifications: Rotating equipment design experience such as pumps,
engines, flowmeters, or similar is highly desirable. Reciprocating
equipment, such as internal combustion engines or compressor design
experience is likewise applicable. Work Arrangement : Onsite We
