Senior Account Manager-Urethane Additives (UA)


Position Overview
*tActively drive and grow direct sales of Urethane Additive products to major customers in rigid, molded, and specialties markets.
*tMarketing responsibilities include identifying trends/needs, working closely with R&D to address these gaps, new product introductions and lead program reviews quarterly.
*tWork closely with customers to understand technical application and promote the right UA products for both new and existing products.
*tWork closely with all functions to define an account strategy to effectively manage the day to day requirements at the accounts.
*tManage account information in SAP, Sales Force and Arkeva to make sure all information is kept current.

Location of position is preferred to be in Northeast or Midwest but will consider location in a major city.


Job Responsibilities

* Identifying growth opportunities within the territory for both new and existing customer base. Leverage technical knowledge and good interpersonal skills to develop successful working relationships.

* Close business with new and existing customers to meet required operating plan for territory for sales revenue, vol, SGM, STNC, price, and business travel cost budget

* Develop ongoing target list opportunities and load into the CRM.

* Prepare and present sales reports and account plans as necessary, utilizing Momentive systems such as SAP, Business Warehouse, Arkeva.

* Work closely with both customer and Momentive internal resources to obtain technical and business information or to process customer requests.

* Prepare account plans of each key account, keep them evergreen and cultivate relationships with key decision makers

* Build in-depth product, application and processing knowledge

* Provide and maintain technical data info to support business projects and support NPI developments (e.g. datasheet development, specifications)

* The position will ask for approximately 40-50% travel

* Support of new growth activities.


* Demonstrated project management skills with history of completing high quality work meeting deadlines

* Good communicator as will be expected to present to customers and at Momentive internal meetings

* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrix organization

* Able to express complicated concepts in a concise manner to support our NPI introductions, present at customer meetings and communicate at all customer levels

* Lateral thinker capable to use ideas and concepts from other markets and segments.


Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor s degree

* 7+ years commercial/technical sales and/or marketing experience

* Demonstrated project management skills with history of completing high quality work and meeting deadlines

* Demonstrated excellent analytical skills

* Strong time management skills; demonstrated ability to work well independently

* Speaks and reads English

* Computer literate, Proficient in Microsoft Office

* Valid U.S. Driver s License

* Travel 30%-50% within the US and Canada

Preferred Qualifications

* BS degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

* Sales/Marketing experience in the Polyurethane industry (preferably foam)

* Sales/Marketing with a multinational company

* Intimate knowledge of Polyurethane foam marketplace and customers

* Ability to speak and read additional languages are a plus
