us. Facebook designs, manufactures, delivers and operates its own
cloud infrastructure. The product areas in which we innovate to
deploy best-in-class equipment are compute servers, storage
servers, database servers, network switches, fiber optic
transceivers, transponders and cables, precision building
infrastructure to support primary power distribution systems,
backup power systems, and water and air filtration systems.Facebook
is seeking a Demand Manager to own creation of planning
bill-of-material (BoM) and align upstream & downstream planning
activities for fiber, power and cooling equipment ensuring optimal
availability - right equipment in the right place at the right
time. The person will partner with key internal stakeholders to
drive design release process, supplier allocation to future
business and maintenance of approved product list. The person will
leverage creativity to solve complex optimization problems in a
scalable way and drive continuous improvement of demand planning
processes by benchmarking against best practices. This full-time
position is part of the Infrastructure Data Center Sourcing and
Operations Engineering team.What is working at Facebook like? If

skills and capability.Required Skills:
- Lead creation of demand plan for fiber, power and cooling
equipment for global new builds and retrofits, and for facility
operations services for completed Data Center builds.
- Integrate with the engineering team in the design release
process and lead creation of planning BoM and translate it to
- Partner with the Project Sourcing team to create Sourcing plans
and Procurement logs for new projects.
- Partner with the Category Sourcing team to define allocation
plans for constrained equipment, ensuring optimal business share
allocation across geographies.
- Partner with another Demand Manager to keep all
cross-functional partners informed on upcoming demand, capacity
constraints, and schedules.
- Recommend how to improve demand planning systems to achieve
greater efficiency & scale through process improvements and
- Drive implementation & adoption of new capabilities.
- Work to improve data systems and develop new reporting tools &
metrics to improve demand visibility & accuracy.Minimum
- Bachelors degree in business administration, engineering, or
supply chain management.
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain fulfillment operations
(forecasting, demand management, supply planning, order management,
MPS/MRP, inventory control, logistics).
- Experience in collecting and analyzing information,
problem-solve and driving solutions.
- Experience in business judgment and creating executive
- MBA or Masters in Supply Chain.
- Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of basic SQL and statistical concepts.
- Detail oriented, with experience communicating complex problems
and solutions, strong drive to collaborate, strong bias for action
to close out problems.
- Strong process/system background and experience understanding,
using and driving improvements in new processes/systems
- Experience in a hyper-scale Data Center space.
- Familiarity with ground-up construction and greenfield site
