To assist Farm Bureau and Michigan Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Association members with program participation with a goal of helping to ensure adequate labor for farms.RESPONSIBILITIESBe an expert in the federal H-2A program and general knowledge of agricultural labor laws and regulations.Assist in supervising GLALS staff members and assist in managing daily operations of growing company resources providing fee-based clients with support to successfully secure temporary seasonal labor under the federal H-2A labor program.Assist in organizing staff resources to meet priorities and manage aggressive company growth, while maintaining excellent customer service and compliance with all deadlines, regulations, documentation, and communication requirements.QUALIFICATIONSRequired: Bachelor's degree in agribusiness, agri-communications or general business required, or equivalent experience may be considered. One to three years' experience working in agri-industry required. Experienced computer usage in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet required. Proficiency in Spanish speaking comprehension and translation required. Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience, including via telephone, e-mail and text messages.Preferred: Account management experience preferred. Management experience preferred.
