Come join this talented family of designers, engineers, cyber security experts, analysts, and product managers as they partner with multi-disciplinary teams across the laboratory to advance a bold digital transformation agenda - leveraging the latest in cloud architectures, agile, user experiences, and continuous integration/continuous delivery to create the PNNL Digital Workplace.**Responsibilities**As an Associate Project Manager supporting the Management and Operations project management office, you are involved in supporting strategic initiatives for the laboratory, defining tasks and timelines, coordinating across departments, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery. You are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments, and goals. This includes coordinating efforts for teams and third-party resources in order to deliver projects, and to define the project's objectives and oversee quality of deliverables and products. This position works closely with the Digital Platform Manager and teams to facilitate agile ceremonies ensuring the agile project management framework is followed. Specifically, the candidate must demonstrate the following:+ Ability to serve in capacity of task manager on multiple small projects having low risks with accountability for task and project plan development and execution with adherence to schedule, budget, quality, and performance.+ Possess a fundamental knowledge and understanding of project management principles and industry best practices having demonstrated proficiency with project management systems, tools, and policies.+ Develops and promotes effective internal working relationships with team members and peers.+ Be a team player able to work independently in completing tasks on time and within budget with minimal oversight.+ Have a general understanding of Agile project management methodology and ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies e.g. stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews & retrospectives.+ Communicates effectively with the project team and supports planning, executing, and stewarding project work that involves a few people or deliverables.+ Have a basic understanding IT development processes.**Qualifications**Minimum Qualifications:+ Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of experience+ Advanced Degree plus 2 years of experience+ Two or more years of experience relevant to task leadership and depth of knowledge in science and/or methods needed to deliver project.Preferred Qualifications:**Hazardous Working Conditions/Environment**Not Applicable**Additional Information**Due to business needs and client space, US Citizenship is required:The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is subject to the Department of Energy Unclassified Foreign Visits & Assignment Program site, information, technologies, and equipment access requirements.**Testing Designated Position**Not Applicable**About PNNL**Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is a world-class research institution powered by a highly educated, diverse workforce committed to the values of Integrity, Creativity, Collaboration, Impact, and Courage.
