Located within in a Big Ten University community, CMHA-CEI is seeking a dynamic Staff Psychiatrist, under the supervision of the Medical Director, to join our current group of psychiatrists.--Will be responsible for the delivery of direct psychiatric services for adults with mental illness.--Will be responsible for utilizing an array of therapeutic techniques, including medication management. Duties may include providing services in a variety of different clinics serving mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled adults. Adult Psychiatrist provides face-to-face psychiatric evaluations as well as consultation and treatment. Responsible for carrying out activities of the program in a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission, policies and procedures.--Opportunity to participate in education of residents and for clinical appointment to Michigan State University Department of Psychiatry.--CMHA-CEI is a Michigan Certified Bronze Level Veteran Friendly Employer and we encourage active military service member, veterans, and their family member to apply.Possession of M.D. or D.O. degree and successful completion of an accredited General Psychiatry Residency program required.--License to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine in the State of Michigan required. Applicants licensed in another state will be considered, but Michigan licensure required prior to hiring. Psychiatry Board Certification preferred.--Must have one (1) year specialized experience working with mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled adults within the past five (5) years. Time in residency training may be included in this experience. Must possess a valid DEA certificate and number.--Must be insurable through the professional liability and malpractice insurance provided by CMHA-CEI.--Must be able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and in written form.--Demonstrated leadership and excellent judgment required.--Access to reliable transportation for job related use required.----About Community Mental Health Authority: Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties was founded on the belief that mental health services are best provided in the community in which the person receiving such service lives.
