Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham
counties is seeking a highly dynamic motivated Coordinator to
oversee our Wellness Counseling Center - Cedar Street Location.
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Supervisor, Adult
Mental Health Services, coordinates the services of an
Interdisciplinary Team of mental health professionals,
paraprofessionals and support staff (social workers, psychologists,
counselors, nurses, psychiatrists, etc.) within the Wellness
Counseling Center Cedar Street. This program serves adults with
behavioral health service needs on an outpatient therapy basis.
Also responsible for the coordination of team(s) contracted for
specific services such as Mental Health Court. This program is part
of a larger mental health court team within specific courts in the
tri-county area providing assessment of adults to determine mental
health needs, brief counseling to those with a serious mental
illness, connection to community resources, and develop short term
treatment plans using person centered planning principles.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: clinical and
administrative supervision of staff, some direct services to
consumers, consultation and participation in program planning,
budget monitoring, treatment team consultation, attendance at court
hearings and related meetings, oversight and management of
contracts with community partners and staff hiring. CMHA-CEI is a
Michigan Certified Bronze Level Veteran Friendly Employer and we

family members to apply. Requirements: Master's Degree in Social
Work, Psychology, or related field required. Possession of an
appropriate State of Michigan credential is required. Certified
Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferred. A minimum of three
years of professional experience working with individuals with a
mental illness required. One year of work experience in a lead
position or progressively more responsible position required.
Experience with Co-occurring Disorder Treatment is highly desired.
Experience working with mental illness population in criminal
justice system and familiarity with court system highly preferred.
Candidate must be able to work well with others, including
community partners. Ability to communicate accurately and
effectively both verbally and in writing required. Possession of a
valid driver's license and access to reliable means of
transportation for job related use required. About Community Mental
