Job Description:
Responsibilities: -Under the supervision of the CATS
Coordinator, ITRS/MH Corrections, at the Ingham County Jail, serves
as a Master's level professional clinician. Performs a wide range
of direct and indirect mental health services at the jail,
providing crisis intervention through a mental health screening,
short-term crisis stabilization for individuals with mental
illness, personality disorders and substance use disorders.
Assesses functional and dysfunctional behavior, conducts
therapeutic interventions and referrals to various jail based
programs. Responsible for detailed case documentation; coordination
of crisis referrals to Crisis Services; provides crisis
intervention techniques; assess the nature of emergency triages as
necessary and maintains the jail's electronic memo system. Acts as
liaison between CMH, Jail Medical Department and the Ingham County
Jail. Assesses inmates in an effort to determine level of care or
possible jail diversion to either the CEI system or the community.

Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is required.
Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is
required. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional)
in treating or working with a person who has a substance use
disorder or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship
experience working with persons who have a substance use disorder
is required. -Must be a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug
Counselor (CAADC) or must become certified within a maximum of 3
years from date of hire or change in regulation. Possession of a
valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable
transportation for job related use required. -Conditional
Employment Requirement: -Offers will be contingent upon the results
of a background verification & credentialing procedure consisting
of: Michigan State Police clearance check, Law Enforcement
Information Network (LEIN) review, verification of a professional
license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an
acceptable driving record, educational background check &
verification of an acceptable work history. Candidate must be able
to pass annual LEIN review. Must be able to pass pre-employment
drug screen. Must undergo and pass a Central Registry Screening.To

-annually with scheduled -annual increases that can result -in a
salary of $73,502. - - -40 hours per week Tuesday-Saturday,
