Job Description:
Responsibilities:--Under the supervision of the Integrated
Treatment & Recovery Services/ITRS Program Director or designee,
this position--will serve Certified Community Behavioral Health
Clinic individuals in need of specialized behavioral health
services.-- This position--serves as a behavioral health/medical
nurse, performing a variety of duties for persons with substance
use disorders and/or Co-occurring disorders who access CMHA-CEI's
The Recovery Center (withdrawal management program), House of
Commons (male residential treatment program) and outpatient
behavioral health services. Will render general nursing care and
provide medical support in accordance with approved nursing
practices.-- Participates in interdisciplinary planning of care and
treatment ensuring the coordination of medical and behavioral
health services to consumers served by ITRS. Additional
responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: providing
information and assistance specific to the area of assignment,
serving as agency liaison with community providers, performing
crisis intervention activities, and providing patient
education.--Responsible for carrying out all activities of the
program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission,
policies and procedures.----Requirements:--Possession of an
Associate's degree or a diploma in Nursing required. Bachelor's
Degree in Nursing preferred. Possession of a State of Michigan
license as a Registered Nurse required. One or more years of
professional experience in treating or working with a person who
has a co-occurring disorder (Mental Illness/Substance Use Disorder
and chronic medical condition) preferred.--State of Michigan
Certified Addictions Counselor credential preferred. Experience
working with Primary Care Providers and/or other Healthcare
Providers is preferred.-- Experience in providing full case
management responsibilities for a case load is preferred.
Possession of First Aid and CPR Certification required. Possession
of a valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
for job related use required.----Conditional Employment
Requirements:--Employment offers for this position will be
contingent upon the results of a background verification and
credentialing procedure consisting of:-- Michigan State Police
clearance check, pass a Central Registry Screening, verification of
a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification,
verification of an acceptable driving record, educational
background check, and verification of an acceptable work history.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.To
