Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of emergency room experience is preferred. Level I trauma experience is required. Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is essential. EPIC charting experience is preferred. License: Must hold a valid state nursing license. Certifications: ACLS BCLS by AHA PALS TNCC ENPC NIH Must-Have: Traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays. Must be able to work 3 weekends (Friday to Sunday) per 4-week schedule. Traveler agrees to high patient ratios. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the emergency room. The unit is a Level I trauma center, stroke center, heart center, and pediatric emergency department. Currently experiencing high patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6, which might increase depending on patient volume. Traveler must be outspoken about high patient ratios. Required certifications include TNCC and ENPC. Modules must be completed prior to starting the position. Travelers are responsible for self-reporting training and modules. A maximum of one holiday off is allowed, and travelers cannot request both the day of the holiday and the day after. Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience is preferred. Triage experience is also preferred.
