on the challenges, the barriers, the statistics, and the seemingly
impossible. What you’ll be doing: Plan and implement daily
activities within the half-day Occupational Therapy Work Training
Program, focusing on work readiness, vocational skills, and
functional task performance. Support patients in developing and
improving time management, task completion, interpersonal
communication, and executive function skills. Provide hands-on
guidance and adaptive strategies to promote independence and
participation in work related tasks. Collaborate with the
supervising occupational therapist to monitor progress, adjust
interventions, and document outcomes. Maintain a structured,
supportive, and safe environment conducive to learning and skill
building. Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and
caregivers regarding progress and program expectations. Anticipated
Work Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with some flexibility
Qualifications: Required: Minimum 1 year of work experience with
Neurological disorders, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, and/or
Orthopedic injury. Work Experience in use of an EMR for
documentation. NBCOT certification as a Certified Occupational
Therapist Assistant (COTA). Minimum Associates Degree with
certification State of Michigan current licensure as a COTA. Valid
NPI number. Ability to acquire CEUs and track documentation in
order to support certification and licensure requirements.
Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation or
