Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with
Level I trauma experience and an active MI RN license for a busy
emergency department. Responsibilities - Work in a Level I Trauma
Emergency Department setting - Handles adult and pediatric
emergency cases as part of a Stroke and Heart Center - High patient
ratios ranging from 1:5-6, with potential to reach up to 8 during
busy periods and holidays - Night shift, 3x12 hours per week, 19:00
to 07:30 - Works three weekends (Friday-Sunday) per four-week
schedule, with varying weekend day assignments - Floating may be
required, including to pediatric areas - No on-call
responsibilities - Uses Epic EMR; experience preferred but training
provided during orientation - Locals and travelers are accepted at
the same pay rate - Main responsibilities include triage,
continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, and emergency patient
management - Must be willing to work two out of three major
holidays per contract; only one holiday off may be requested - All
requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of
application and may not exceed five days - First-time travelers are
accepted for this position - Returning staff must have a one-year
separation before rehire - Pre-assignment unit modules are
mandatory and must be completed prior to start - High-acuity team
environment supporting both adult and pediatric emergent care
Requirements - Active Michigan RN license required by start date
(compact not accepted) - Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS,
PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS - Minimum 1.5 years of ER nursing
experience with Level I trauma experience required; 2 years
preferred - Experience in interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias required - Ability to provide proof of high school
level education - Epic charting experience preferred Benefits -
