TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Lansing, Michigan, 48912! Pay Information $2,254 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State license required by start date Certifications: BLS, AWHONN (Advanced or Intermediate), NRP Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Travel experience - Antepartum experience - Experience with facility births/month 100-200 Description: The Registered Nurse will float between Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby units as needed according to census. Candidates must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays, including the day before and day after. RTO needs to be submitted at the time of profile and will not be approved after the contract is signed. The department has 12 Labor Delivery Rooms, 3 Operating Rooms, and 8 OB Special Care beds. Postpartum care for mothers and newborns is provided in the Mother Baby department, which consists of 34 rooms. All candidates must be willing to work 3 weekends out of 4 in a 4-week schedule. Preferred certifications include C-EFM; however, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certifications may also be considered. Experience with a high volume of births is required, with a preference for those with over 300 births per month. Clinical skills required include administration of blood products, patient assessment, and support for breastfeeding. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in nursing practices associated with Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby care.
