certified Description: This position performs a variety of
integrated pre and post-operative critical care functions. The
nursing process is applied while utilizing broad nursing knowledge
in a caring manner. Responsibilities include assessing patients for
physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support. The nurse
organizes and coordinates all aspects of patient care based on real
and/or perceived needs. Evaluating patient progress is essential,
correlating patient information with nursing knowledge.
Collaboration with healthcare team members is key in planning and
