Job Description:
Career Opportunity WestRock's Lansing, MI facility is seeking a
Senior HR Business Partner to serve as a key member of the
facility's leadership team. This position will have functional
responsibility for production- and office-based teams, support
local and global HR programs, and coordinate, track and measure
related results. The incumbent serves as a business partner to
multiple levels of the organizational hierarchy and ensures that
objectives are achieved within a fast-paced environment in which
the handling of multiple tasks simultaneously is the expected norm.
- - How you will impact WestRock
--- - - Serves as subject-matter expert for all HR functionals
areas with particular emphasis on employee relations, compensation,
employee engagement, and performance management -
--- - -Functions as strategic business partner to all levels of the
business and collaborates effectively in support of WestRock's Path
to One objectives -
--- - - Identifies and implements improvements to core HR functions
using a continuous-improvement mindset - -
--- - - Establishes, maintains and controls personnel records,
files, and organizational charts -
--- - - Serves as project manager for local and global HR programs
as appropriate. Tracks milestones, regularly communicates status,
and ensures objectives are achieved and delivered on-time. Drives
performance-appraisal, merit-increase and other core HR processes
across the site population -
--- - - Maintains site HR calendar and leads related local
communications for specific HR programs such as annual enrollment

--- - - Serves as the first point-of-contact and acts as liaison to
new and existing employees in explaining human resources policies,
procedures, laws, and standards

--- - - Other duties as assigned What you need to succeed Basic
Qualifications -
--- - - - - - -Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

--- - - - - - -Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources
positions -
--- - - - - - -Must be authorized to work in the United States
without company sponsorship - - Preferred Qualifications -
--- - - - - - -Advanced HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)

--- - - - - - -Proven track record of success in managing complex
projects with non-negotiable deadlines - -
--- - - - - - -Familiarity with HR principles and best practices
and can be trusted with confidential and/or sensitive information

--- - - - - - -Demonstrated ability to work under pressure,
prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly while
displaying a keen eye for detail. High degree of comfort with
workplace change and ambiguity -
--- - - - - - -Strong oral, written and presentation skills,
coupled with demonstrated ability to build positive professional
relationships and provide a high level of customer service -
--- - - - - - -Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite,
particularly Excel and PowerPoint -
