Career Opportunity: - WestRock's Lansing, MI facility is seeking
Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a key member of the
facility's leadership team. This position will support local and
global HR programs and coordinate, track, and measure related
results. The incumbent will partner with multiple levels of the
functional and business hierarchies and will ensure objectives are
achieved within a fast-paced environment in which the handling of
multiple tasks simultaneously is the expected nor - How You Will
Impact WestRock: - Serves as subject-matter expert for all HR
functionals areas, with particular emphasis on employee relations,
employee engagement, and performance management --- Identifies and
implements improvements to core HR functions using a
continuousimprovement mindset --- Establishes, maintains, and
controls personnel records, files, and other confidential materials
with a high degree of professionalism --- Serves as project manager
for local and global HR programs as appropriate. Tracks milestones,
regularly reports status, and ensures objectives are achieved and
delivered on-time. Drives performance-appraisal, merit-increase and
other core HR processes across assigned site population(s) ---
Maintains site HR calendar and leads related communications for
specific HR programs such as annual performance reviews and
benefits enrollment --- Serves as the first point-of-contact and
acts as liaison to new and existing employees in explaining human
resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards --- Creates and
drives high degree of collaboration and partnership with current
people managers --- Other duties as assigned What You Need to
Succeed: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution ---
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources functions ---
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company
sponsorship --- Proven track record of success in managing complex
projects with non-negotiable deadlines --- Familiarity with HR
principles and best practices and can be trusted with confidential
and/or sensitive information --- Demonstrated ability to work under
pressure, prioritize multiple projects, and adjust work accordingly
while displaying a keen eye for detail --- Displays high degree of
comfort with workplace change and ambiguity --- Strong oral,
written and presentation skills, coupled with demonstrated ability
to build positive professional relationships and provide a high
level of customer service --- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint --- Models WestRock's core
