To supervise the Centralized Print and Mail Department's Customer
Service and Mail Services area. To guide staff in providing
customer service, software support, file manipulation, training,
variable data print and mail setup, as well as implementation and
development of new digital printing operations. To provide printing
and copier software services to all of Michigan Farm Bureau (MFB)
and its Affiliated Companies.
Supervise the Customer Service Representative, including work
assignments, performance reviews and recommendations of salary
adjustments. Act as a liaison between customers and operations,
fielding production questions and solving minor production
disputes. Communicate with customers to obtain, provide, or clarify
information concerning quality, scheduling, or delivery. Develop
and maintain favorable working relationships with customers,
promoting the operations and services provided.
Serve as primary resource on postal regulations for printing needs
of special forms, cards, and reply envelopes. Maintain postal
account and balance information. Serve as point person for post
office contact. Serve as Business Service Administrator for USPS
activities through the Business Customer Gateway (online
Coordinate first class, standard/bulk mailings, including:
consulting with customers, preparing address data files, mail
merges, equipment operation, and management of the related postal
account(s). Maintain understanding of current and applicable USPS
regulations and procedures. Maintain a positive working
relationship with the USPS representatives.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years
training in graphic arts, printing or technical field at a
technical school or college required. Experience in the use of
Windows Operating System required. Experience in the use of
software applications, including Microsoft Professional Office,
Adobe Creative Suite design packages, Printshop Mail, FusionPro,
Satori Bulk Mailer and iMIS database operations required.
Experience with networking protocols, including TCP/IP and
Microsoft networking required. Ability to operate a personnel
computer using a wide variety of professional software required.
Ability to install a variety of software on personal computers with
a high degree of accuracy required. Ability to troubleshoot
equipment and communicate with repair services required.
Preferred: Graphic design experience and use of MIS System
preferred. Background in print or mail industry preferred.
