Represent Allison to all Department of Defense organizations and
defense industry partners in the greater Detroit Arsenal area.
Responsible for promoting Allison Transmission’s propulsion
solutions, cultivating relationships, serving as the Voice of the
Customer, and helping achieve Allison’s growth objectives.
Develop and lead the Detroit Arsenal outreach plan with
government and industry leaders. Includes internal Allison
alignment, and external outreach with TACOM, Program Executive
Office(s), Ground Vehicle System Center, and vehicle
Provide insight and context for ongoing and future defense
opportunities based on an understanding of the U.S. government
acquisition system, Consortiums, ground vehicle experimentation,
defense sustainment systems, and SAM.gov notifications.
Build relationships with defense officials, department heads,
and key industry leaders to inform government and commercial
leaders Allison’s portfolio and internal development
Support Allison’s cross-functional response to Solicitations,
Request for Information, Market Surveys and Aftermarket
Serves as Account Manager and Voice of the Customer for Tracked
Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree is highly
Business or technical competency required.
At least three years of relevant experience with the U.S.
Department of Defense and/or defense vehicle industry.
An established network of contacts in the Detroit defense
community highly desired. Experience with U.S. government
contracts, developing proposal responses, and negotiations.
Executive Presence: Able to engage and communicate with
executive-level audiences whether in a board room, at the podium,
or facilitating a meeting.
Excellent business judgment; strong analytical skills; strong
verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve, exercise judgment, and
multi-task under pressure. High degree of integrity, business
ethic, and leadership intangibles.
Experience leading and being a member of a cross-functional team
involved in defense sales or business strategy development.
A U.S. person with the ability to travel on a regular basis.
