This acquisition enhances REV's product offering in its Fire Group within its Fire & Emergency segment.SUMMARY: The Paint / Body Worker (Body Shop) position is responsible for finishing cabs and parts to Spartan's quality standards, prior to painting, for the Company's emergency response cabs and bodies.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Repair defectsPerform presanding, body filler, roll prime, sanding, and metal finishing, as neededLead / perform lean eventsLearn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assigned areaWear air or form fitting respirators for extended amounts of timeWork off ground-level, on ladders and lifts, as neededRead and follow detailed operator instructions, as required by a particular areaUnderstand, and be able to articulate, the body shop and paint processesSelf-check work and inspect prior processes Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as requiredMeet production goalsMaintain a clean and safe work areaInitiate process improvements Support 5S in work areaCommunicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issuesWork in close proximity with customer, as neededSolve complex problems with minimal assistanceQUALIFICATIONS:Excellent attendance Positive attitudeStrong and consistent attention to detail Self-motivated with the ability to stay on taskTeam orientedBasic computer skills are requiredNo critical shortcomings on last performance review3 years of body shop experienceStrong knowledge of metail finishingWorking knowledge of application of fillers, including polyester fillers, putties, and primersDemonstrate high quality body workAble to:Tolerate very high heat temperaturesBe exposed to high dust & chemicalsWork overtime on short noticeWilling to:Improve self / area / company (including pursuing additional training, if needed)Develop a working knowledge of Spartan's systems (example: AS/400)Able to work overtime on short noticeEDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: HS Diploma or GED RequiredREV Group (NYSE: REVG) is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of specialty vehicles and related aftermarket parts and services.
