Job DescriptionTrillium Staffing has a SQF Practitioner position available in the Lansing, MI area. Contract to hire opportunity. Range $24.00 to $25.00 an hour! Will be working at our client location who is an established food Manufacturer. Schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Assist production in improving product quality, reducing scrap and exceeding customer expectations. Work with Production Management to ensure the established product and process parameters are followed by the production team for both Wholesale and Retail product. Create and maintain a Quality System including document and data control, revision, and approvals. Job Duties are but not limited to: -Writes and maintains plant specifications. -Oversees plant H.A.C.C.P. plan and plant S.Q.F. plan -Establish testing parameters that will -Use Standard Quality Tools in collecting, formatting and documentation -Help with Gap Analysis -Actively participate in Food Safety Committee -Effective Communication with managers and supervisors -Strong commitment and discipline towards task completion If interested, please apply today! Qualifications-BS Degree preferable in Food Science -Demonstrated technical aptitude in food technology -2 years experience in a food-processing environment -Quality Assurance and/or Research and Development experience preferred -Experience with continuous improvement process, lean manufacturing -Proficient in the use of a computer, MS Office.
