Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Operations Tech, Grinding, Mill position contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic set ups of CNC Fadal machines and grind parts to remove defects.

SHIFT
LAN - Shift 3 ($.50) (United States of America - Michigan)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Complete all DHR documents
• Trouble shoot/problem solve program and machine issues
• Produce parts to manufacturing specifications with minimal supervision.
• Make sure work environment remains safe, uncluttered, clean and well-maintained by performing maintenance and general janitorial duties throughout shift per the 6S schedule
• Monitor machine for irregularities
• Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor or Lead.
• Operate a belt grinder
• Change belts as needed
• Load programs into CNC machine and execute program to accurately machine parts to meet customer specifications
• Assist and train others as needed

  WORK EXPERIENCE
  1+ Year of Prior Relevant Experience, Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing Experience
  
  EDUCATION
  High School Or Equivalent Required, , ,
  
  CERTIFICATIONS
  Machining - Trade School

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
      --- Constantly operates machinery.
      --- Constantly positions self to operate machinery in a variety of configurations.
      --- Constantly visually inspect parts
      --- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds
      --- Frequently quickly grasp objects
      --- Must be able to remain in a standing position 75% of the time.
      --- Corrected vision of 20/20, preferred.
      --- Able to work in a fast-paced quality -oriented manufacturing environment.
      --- Work performed in manufacturing environment where exposure to a number of elements occurs.
      --- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined for the position.
      --- Willing and able to work long hours including overtime as required.
