2023-2024 Housing Cooperative/Housing Access Coordinator
The Power of We AmeriCorps VISTA Program focuses on building the capacity of Ingham County organizations in the areas of education, economic opportunity, and access to care. The program emphasizes the importance of professional development and personal growth, while creating an exceptional AmeriCorps VISTA experience for our members during the service term. Each member in our program is passionate about some area of community development and is aware of the importance of the work that they are doing for our Ingham county community.
Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will assist the staff at the Spartan Housing Cooperative (SHC) with expanding the influence and impact of the cooperative. This includes: researching potential redevelopment opportunities on existing land; outreach to other local cooperatives and building relationships; building a donor base; organizing annual fundraising drives; recruiting and leading a team of volunteers and more tasks built around your interests!
