Responsibilities:--Under the supervision of the Supportive Services Coordinator, will function as a member of a team oriented, home-based intensive intervention unit working with children at risk of an out-of-home placement.-- In conjunction with the primary therapist, provides a variety of services to individuals and families.-- Typical duties include:-- mentoring; consumer transportation; supervision of and participation in leisure activities with consumers and consumers' families; and assistance in the implementation of specific treatment plans. Requirements:--Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D.is required.-- A minimum of six months' experience with emotionally impaired children and families is required.-- Expectation of occasional afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. Person must be able to work cooperatively with others and possess good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to re-certify in CPR/First Aide each year following employment. Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required. Conditional Employment Requirements:--Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record, and pass a Central Registry Screening annually. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
