Solutions Architect oversees and directly engages in sales pursuits to help shape, solution, propose, and close. Primarily acts as the subject matter expert leader representing the Dewpoint client solution point of view while helping align the overall deal from the sales, financial, business, and delivery perspectives. They must help shape, develop, and maintain the Dewpoint portfolio of standardized solutions offerings by understanding client and industry trends and Dewpoint strategy, core competencies, and partner perspectives to enable a differentiated and compelling value proposition to Dewpoint's target market.The Solutions Architect provides overall direction, guidance, definition, and facilitation for developing current and future architecture to meet Dewpoint's needs, goals, and strategic vision. The Architect interfaces across all departments, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future solutions.Organizational RelationshipsDepartment: Business DevelopmentReports to: VP Business DevelopmentStatus: Salaried, Exempt (Full Time)Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure cloud solutions.
• Lead the architecture and design of cloud environments, including Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Oversee Azure hosting environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and delivery teams to define technical requirements and develop architectural solutions that align with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines.
• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and cloud engineers.
• Stay current with the latest Azure services, features, and best practices, and incorporate them into architectural designs.
• Oversee the migration of on-premises applications and VMware infrastructure to Azure.
• Manage and optimize cloud costs, ensuring efficient use of cloud resources.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
• Design and implement robust infrastructure solutions, including network, storage, and compute resources.
• Ensure the integration of security best practices and policies in the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and implement necessary improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
• Work closely with IT operations to ensure smooth deployment and operation of infrastructure solutions.Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Proven experience in managing and optimizing Azure hosting environments.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure components such as VMware virtual machines, virtual networks, load balancers, and storage accounts.
• Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery and high-availability solutions.
• Proficiency in network architecture and design, including virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and VPN gateways.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (AZ-305 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Knowledge of database technologies, including SQL and Oracle databases a plus.
• Understands where Dewpoint is planning to go in the future to provide valuable input to the other viewpoints of the Leadership Team.
• Oversees the definition of the future-state and current-state solutions architecture and uses it to identify and guide projects.
• Owns stewardship duties of business architecture artifacts.
• Deliver a cross-organizational perspective and understanding to Dewpoint Leadership.
• Develop and deliver solution presentations to clients and tailor content to the audience to include financial (ROI/TCO) and business value.
• Lead efforts to define/refine Dewpoint's standard offering portfolio, artifacts, and IP.Measured By:

• This position will require working indoors. A typical workweek is eight (8) hour workdays, five (5) days per week with some weekend work and long hours (as needed). This position requires tactful discussions and can be stressful.
