Commission (WCRC) is on the lookout for a spirited and enthusiastic
Communications Intern to join our awesome team! WCRC is a leading
organization dedicated to enhancing transportation infrastructure
and ensuring smooth, safe travel for all. As a Communications
Intern you would gain hands-on experience in public relations,
social media management, and community engagement while being part
of a dynamic team committed to innovation and excellence. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES Assists in the creation and distribution of content for
various communication channels including social media, newsletters,
and the WCRC website. Supports the development of communication
materials such as press releases, blog posts, and marketing
collateral. Helps manage and grow WCRC's social media presence by
creating engaging content. Assists in organizing and promoting WCRC
events and workshops. Collaborates with team members to brainstorm
and develop new communication ideas and campaigns. REQUIREMENTS
Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public
Relations, or a related field. Strong written and verbal
communication skills. Familiarity in social media platforms and
Canva tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Creative
thinking and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft
Office Suite, and familiarity with video editing and graphic design
software is a plus. Availability to work WCRC summer hours Monday -
Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
