licensees.Job descriptionSUMMARYAssists Quality Department to meet
quality objectives by performing the following duties personally or
through direct reports. All managers, supervisors, and employees
are responsible for supporting company quality policies and
initiatives, as well as promoting and supporting continuous
improvement efforts.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (MR's) AND PERFORMANCE
STANDARDS (PS's) include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.MR 1. Assist in achievement of Michigan Plant quality
goals.PS #1. Maintain the ITAF 16949 Standard.PS #2. Create,
update, maintain procedures and standards.PS #3. Maintain high
quality standards.PS #4. Maintain laboratory and quality goals.PS
#5. Maintain a clean and safe work area.PS #6. Follow work
instructions pertaining to your responsibilities.PS #7. Assist in a
development of improvements in job satisfaction and performance.PS
#8. Assist in performance of gage calibration verification.PS #9.
Assist training other employees.MR 2. Expedites activities of
quality and quality functions.PS #1 Assists Quality Manager with
respect to meeting customers' requirements with responsibility for
the quality of the product.PS #2. Assists quality department to
meet quality objectives.PS #3. Maintain overall workflow through
proper utilization of laboratory skills and equipment including
laboratory test equipment and gage calibrations.PS #4. Assist with
quality obstacles with appropriate corrective actions to ensure
optimum.MR 3. Assists with overall quality staffing requirements.PS
#1. Assists with quality communications.PS #2. Follows company
quality policies.PS #3. Follows personnel programs essential to
quality (e.g., training, safety, work rules, laboratory efficiency
and cost reduction).PS #4. Assists in supporting and maintaining
proper organization structure to support overall quality
requirements.RESPONSIBILITIESAssists Quality Manager in monitoring
performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and
efficiency, including nonconformances. Assists in the overall
direction, coordination, and evaluation of laboratory processes.
Carries out laboratory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities
include training employees; planning, and performing laboratory
work; assist in addressing complaints and resolving
problems.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an

School Diploma or equivalent. Laboratory experience helpful, but
not required. Familiarity with Word and Excel. Additional training
would include:- Metallurgy training- Training in routine
maintenance and calibration verification of lab equipment-
Interpreting drawings and/or specifications- Laboratory training:
destructive and non-destructive testing such as Rockwell,
filehardness, portable hardness, microhardness, case depth and
compound layer, as well writing reports.- Familiarity with computer
usage and software including Excel and WordLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility
to read, analyze, and interpret, documents or drawings. Ability to
write reports. Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from company managers, customers, and
employees. Ability to access customer needs, meeting quality
standards for services, and evaluation of customer
satisfaction.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSBasic math skills.REASONING
ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts,
and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret specifications and
drawings. Judgement and decision-making ability - consider the
relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most
appropriate one, especially regarding corrective actions. Able to
work independently as well as in a team environment.PHYSICAL
