About the Role:
The Business Systems Analyst serves as a subject matter expert to
define both business and software solutions to meet the needs of
our Clients and Internal Product Managers. The role includes many
diverse responsibilities ranging from initial analysis of both
External and Internal Client needs through the delivery of the
software solution. The Business Analyst is responsible for
capturing project requirements, designing comprehensive solutions,
and ensuring that the end deliverables satisfy the Client's
objectives and expectations.
The Business Analyst works closely with other members of the
project team to include supporting the Development and Quality
Assurance Teams inclusive of supporting activities through the
deployment of the Project.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Strong Product and Industry knowledge.
* Acts as the Subject Matter Expert on defi SERVICING, Accounting
Engine and/or Credit Bureau Processing inclusive of the related
configuration.
* Spearheads the conversations in identifying and understanding
opportunities and configures the process and/or the system to
enhance the organization; proactively identify system related
process improvements.
* Responsible in working with Clients to explain table structure
associated with conversion data mapping.
* Responsible for Conversion reconciliations.
* Leads design sessions and helps to determine the design the
solution to the project request.
* Ability to elicit, analyze and record required business
functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the
success of a system or software development project
* Act as the liaison between all business units and the Technology
team by interviewing, understanding and analyzing the needs of our
customers and clients
* Creates detailed Business Specifications including but not
limited to the following: current and desired state business
process models, develop uses cases and/or user stories, defined
business rules and preferences, proposed prototypes, and acceptance
criteria
Additional Job Responsibilities:
* Under general supervision, prepares business specifications from
which technical specifications are formulated.
* Conduct preliminary investigation for project requests.
* Develop detailed Requirement documents and overall workflow.
* Review requirements with the Project/Delivery Team so that they
gain an understanding of the specifications.
* Provide support to the Project/Delivery Team (On-shore and
Off-shore) as the specifications are developed and tested.
* Participate in Test Plan reviews to verify that the Test Case
scenarios satisfy the requirements.
* Provides support to the Client Services and Implementation Teams
inclusive of demoing the new functionality to the Teams.
* Conducts analysis of business goals, objectives, and needs of the
business environment.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong Client facing skills.
* Makes recommendations to improve business processes. Assist in
root cause analysis in order to recommend product enhancements or
other appropriate actions to improve productivity for business
units.
* Utilize systems and data to resolve business related analysis and
research to support business goals.
* May provide financial or operational business-related analysis
and research to support business goals.
* Leads a Team of Business Analysts and assists them in developing
their requirements.
* Decision Making / Problem Solving*
* Uses limited independent judgement to make decisions based on
precedents and established guidelines.
* Knows when to refer issues to supervisor and when to handle the
issues.
* Provides some supportive advice with limited impact on the use of
resources.
* Impact on resources limited to assigned department.
16. Sound knowledge of US GAAP, particularly pertaining to consumer
lending, finance, and leasing.
17. Familiarity with FASB and Federal Reserve System standards
related to consumer automobile lending and leasing.
18. Working knowledge of sales and use tax accounting and reporting
processes for US and Canada
19. Basic understanding of income tax accounting and concepts,
including asset depreciation and book income versus tax income
timing differences
20. Working knowledge of basic lending financial calculations,
including but not limited to: lease and loan payment calculations,
future value calculations, present value calculations, and APR
calculations.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, computer science
and/or related field required.
* Minimum Job-Related Experience: 5-8 years work-related
experience.
* Excellent time management skills including the ability to manage
competing priorities
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with managers and associates, along with working with external
clients and vendors
* Ability to interpret and communicate the needs of the business
and the systems team effectively to all stakeholders, focusing on
the "what" and the "why", not the "how"
* Understands and applies the appropriate use of various analysis
techniques (textual formats, models, diagrams, and matrices)
* Demonstrated ability to evaluate and prioritize many tasks
against limited development resources
* Knowledge of project management principles, practices,
techniques, and tools
* Success presenting information to technical and non-technical
staff in a manner facilitating understanding by the intended
audience
* Solid written skills to document needs accurately for delivery of
a quality product
* Effectively recognizes opportunities beyond the underlying
business needs and issues
* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Auto Finance Industry Knowledge is preferred.
* Prior Retail and/or Lease Conversion experience is preferred.
* SQL knowledge is preferred.
* Agile methodology knowledge is preferred.
Travel Required:
* 10%
